Richard J. Vaznaugh represents employees from executives to rank and file in the Bay Area and in the Los Angeles Area.  Passionate about representing employees, he handles employment counseling and litigation for Employees only. With over nine years awarded the Avvo “Superb” rating, he has almost three decades of experience providing vigorous, excellent representation against businesses and corporations of all sizes.

After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley, with a Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric in 1989, Mr. Vaznaugh attended UC LAW, The University of California College of the Law in San Francisco. While earning his Juris Doctor, he earned a certificate as a Public Interest Scholar and was an Associate Editor for the Hastings International and Comparative Law Review. Fluent in Spanish and English, he also speaks some Portuguese and works hard to represent workers in all walks of life.

Admitted to practice in the State of California since 1994, Mr. Vaznaugh takes pride in his ability to be accessible to his clients from the beginning until the end of the case. In 2024, he won a settlement for $2 million against a multinational corporation on behalf of his clients in a wage and hour class action lawsuit and in 2025 he won an $838,000 racial/national origin settlement.

Mr. Vaznaugh is a 20 year member of California Employment Lawyers Association and a long term member of its Legislative Committee. He has completed the Employment Trials course as well as the Advanced Trial Skills track for California Employment Lawyers Association trial college. Mr. Vaznaugh is also a member of the California Bar Association and the Labor and Employment Committee of the National Lawyers Guild.
