The founder and managing partner of The Cartwright Law Firm, Inc., Robert E. Cartwright Jr. provides dedicated legal advice and representation to the people of San Francisco and Northern California, with four locations including San Francisco, Santa Rosa, Discovery Bay and Vacaville. Focusing his practice on personal injury, Mr. Cartwright generally handles cases involving serious accidents and injuries. 

Mr. Cartwright has developed a national reputation for excellence in advocacy. He has been honored by his peers by serving as president of the San Francisco Barristers Club, the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association, The California Trial Lawyers Association (now CAOC), and the Western Trial Lawyers Association. He is one of the longest serving members of the American Association for Justice, and has served on several other boards, and is a member of ABOTA. He has been a trial lawyer of the year finalist in San Francisco for SFTLA, California  (CAOC) and nationally (TLPJ, now Public Justice). Offering customized guidance and aggressive advocacy, Mr. Cartwright is committed to helping people pursue financial justice when they have suffered harm due to the intentional, negligent or reckless actions of another. He has assisted clients in recovering maximum compensation in claims involving issues such as defective products, motor vehicle accidents, dangerous premises, construction site injuries and general negligence. He also serves as the Honorary Consul General of Iceland in San Francisco.

Mr. Cartwright is a frequent invited speaker on trial advocacy throughout the united states and is the recipient of numerous awards for his contributions to the advancement of justice. He received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Puget Sound in 1979 and his Juris Doctor from Golden Gate University School of Law in 1982.
