She is also a former member of the American College of Trial Lawyers' National Board of Regents.

Ms. Harriman is also a fellow with the International Academy of Trial Lawyers and a former teaching fellow with Stanford University Law School. She has also served on and chaired San Francisco Ethics Commission, and she has served on the House Information Systems' Committee on House Administration in Washington, D.C.
