After working full time while going to USF Law School full time Tom first began work with the State of California and then began his Plaintiff's attorney career with Abramson and Smith before forming his own firm with the late Bob Bianco and retired Chief Judge of the Court of Appeal Barbara Jones, and now Superior Court Judge Steve Murphy. In 1992 he formed the Brandi Law firm where he has worked with Dan Dell’Osso, Mylene Reuvekamp, Brian Malloy, Jason Friedman, and Terry Edwards.

Tom has tried cases to verdict in 19 California Counties and two Federal courts including lead counsel for hundreds of infertile women in the Dalkon Shield litigation, people harmed by defective products, unsafe roads, dangerous drugs, people with traumatic brain injury, paralysis and catastrophic injuries as well as wrongful death. Among his numerous verdicts are a 12 million dollar verdict in SF, 14m in San Mateo, 17m in San Luis Obispo, 25m in Santa Clara with Dan Dell’Osso, 29 million in Solano  and 1.6 billion in SF in a class action. He has been elected to ABOTA, the American College of Trial Lawyers, and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers.

Tom has served in various positions in the bar. He was appointed by two Chief Justices to 12 years of service on the Small claims and Civil Litigation committee, served as a Director of the SF Bar Association, and been President of San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association and the Consumer Attorney of California. He is a firm believer that hard work and preparation are the parents of success, cross examination is the sun light in a courtroom, and a pitcher’s best friend is a double play.
