B. Robert Allard
Attorney Profile
Top Rated Personal Injury Attorney in San Jose, CA
With nearly two decades of experience in California, B. Robert Allard provides aggressive and intelligent representation to clients in the Bay Area and Northern California from the San Jose-based firm Corsiglia McMahon & Allard, L.L.P., in personal injury and wrongful death cases as well as cases involving product liability and medical malpractice. As the father of four children, Mr. Allard has a distinct passion for securing justice for children who have endured sexual abuse, and he has worked tirelessly with state legislators to strengthen mandatory child molestation laws that target and penalize predators.
An accomplished litigator who has successfully tried hundreds of cases, Mr. Allard has secured a number of landmark verdicts. He was instrumental in exposing the USA Swimming molestation scandal, the largest sexual abuse scandal in the history of amateur athletics, and he successfully defeated lawyers from eight different firms appointed by USA Swimming. His victory led to the U.S. Olympic Committee standardizing background checks in all sports, and his vital work in the case drew the attention of national broadcasters such as ABC, which featured him on its "20/20" program.
After he obtained his law degree from the University of San Francisco, Mr. Allard was admitted to the California Bar in 1995. He was recognized as the Santa Clara County Trial Lawyer of the Year in 2007 and again in 2009. The National Trial Lawyers Association has also honored him yearly since 2010 as one of California's Top 100 Trial Lawyers. Mr. Allard is a long-standing member of the Santa Clara County Trial Lawyers Association and currently serves as its president. He has also been a member of the Consumer Advocates of California since 2006.
Dedicated to bettering his community, Mr. Allard was honored as the California Lawyer of the Year in the field of Public Justice in 2012 for helping children and their families recover from the evils of sex abuse, and he has been a key figure in San Jose's Pro Bono Project since 1996. He has been honored with an AV-Preeminent rating* from Martindale-Hubbell by his peers as a testament to his professional ability and integrity.
