James J. Hoover

Mr. Hoover’s foray into the legal field started with him receiving his Juris Doctor summa cum laude in 2001 from the Santa Clara University School of Law, where he was on the dean’s list for every semester and was awarded top of the class CALI Awards in contracts, dispute resolution, criminal procedure and more. Prior to that, he graduated magna cum laude with his bachelor’s degree in accounting (with a minor in economics) in 1998 from Santa Clara University, where he was on the dean’s list for all four years.

Licensed to practice in California since 2001, Mr. Hoover stays closely affiliated to several legal organizations, including The State Bar of California, the Santa Clara County Bar Association and ProVisors. Mr. Hoover spends considerable time educating the public on various family law matters, including a media appearance on ABC News 7. He is also keen on helping people who find themselves in difficult positions and is on the advisory board of WomenSV, a nonprofit organization that uplifts survivors of domestic abuse.
