Missy M. Cornejo

A shareholder at Rossi, Hamerslough, Reischl & Chuck, Missy M. Cornejo focuses her practice on a variety of commercial and residential real estate matters. Fluent in Spanish as well as in English, she is located in the firm’s offices in San Jose, California, and she provides representation to people and businesses throughout Santa Clara County and other portions of the greater San Francisco Bay Area.

Ms. Cornejo majored in political science and Spanish studies as an undergraduate at Santa Clara University and received a Bachelor of Arts in 2007. She then remained on campus for her legal education at the Santa Clara University School of Law. While she was there, Ms. Cornejo participated in moot court competitions and won honors for her written and oral presentations. She also served as an editor on the Santa Clara High Technology Law Journal before being awarded her Juris Doctor in 2011. Ms. Cornejo became admitted to practice before all California state courts later in that year.

Ms. Cornejo counts among her commercial real estate clients developers, property owners, landlords, brokers and lessees. She has worked on related litigation involving fraud, breach of lease provisions and other contract actions, rescission and rental disputes. Ms. Cornejo also has commercial transactional experience that encompasses mixed use and other types of developments. In her residential real estate practice, she has represented both buyers and sellers in purchase transactions, and she has also handled associated litigation involving neighbor disputes, trespass, easements, nondisclosure of material facts and contract breaches. Ms. Cornejo joined her current firm in February 2016 and became a shareholder in early 2021.
