Certified as a specialist by the Board of Legal Specialization of The State Bar of California since 2004, Rod Firoozye focuses his practice exclusively in family law. Since establishing the Law Offices of Rod Firoozye in 1996, Mr. Firoozye has assisted thousands of clients both in the Bay Area and internationally.
Prior to specializing in family law, Mr. Firoozye was involved in business litigation cases against some of the top worldwide corporations, such Microsoft and EarthLink. Mr. Firoozye’s business litigation experience led to the publications of a case which was adopted for civil jury instructions involving claims of fraud and misrepresentation – (Firoozye v. Earthlink Network (N.D. Cal. 2001) 153 F. Supp. 2d 1115); Matthew Bender Cal. Forms Jury Inst. 43.02).
Mr. Firoozye is Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML)* and was selected as the incoming Editor for the AAML Newsletter.

Mr. Firoozye has extensive complex trial experience, but also frequently uses mediation for resolution of issues before trial.
Mr. Firoozye regularly collaborates with various other experts and law firms to assemble a powerful team to deal with the most complicated litigation cases in Northern California.
He has written numerous articles and lectured about family law topics for other family law attorneys from California and other states. Mr. Firoozye has also testified as an expert witness in California proceedings regarding spousal support and provided expert witness services about California family law in international cases.
Since 2008, Mr. Firoozye has been regularly selected by San Francisco Magazine as a “Super-Lawyer) (given to the top 5% of lawyers in Northern California). In 2022, Mr. Firoozye was also selected by The Los Angles & San Francisco Daily Journal as 1 of 20 Top Family Lawyers in the State of California.
In his spare time, Mr. Firoozye enjoys reading biographies and traveling.
