Clifton J. Lurkis

Clifton Lurkis, a partner at Lurkis, Joyce & Del Bove, LLP, has devoted his entire legal career to family law. Mr. Lurkis has extensive experience with all aspects of divorce, including complex property disputes, child custody, child support, prenuptial agreements and postnuptial agreements. Although he primarily practices in San Mateo and San Francisco, Mr. Lurkis also represents clients in Alameda, Marin and Contra Costa. 

A respected member of the family law community, Mr. Lurkis holds a family law certification from the State Bar of California Legal Specialization program. He is a talented negotiator and frequently reaches positive outcomes for clients through settlement. When litigation is necessary, he is ready, willing and able to take a case to trial, having obtained successful results before various courts.

In addition to his law practice, Mr. Lurkis is a volunteer Settlement Officer for the San Mateo Court. Mr. Lurkis has recently begun mediating cases in his private practice, as well. 

Mr. Lurkis holds a license to practice law before all California state courts. In honor of his accomplishments as a family law attorney, the San Francisco magazine named him a “Top Attorney of Northern California” in 2012 and 2013.

In 1994, Mr. Lurkis graduated from Syracuse University with a bachelor’s degree. He earned his law degree from Golden Gate University School of Law, graduating in 2001. He practiced family law as an associate at Viola Law Firm and spent three years as a solo practitioner before founding Lurkis, Joyce & Del Bove, LLP, in 2014.
