Laurence P. Dugoni

Laurence P. Dugoni is a co-founding partner of Dugoni & Lee, APC, in San Mateo, California. A seasoned attorney and accountant, he holds certification from The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization as an expert in estate planning, trust, and probate law, and he is also a certified public accountant. His practice is devoted to comprehensive estate planning, probate and trust administration, estate and gift taxation and sophisticated asset protection strategies. 

Over the course of his career, Mr. Dugoni has counseled numerous high net worth individuals, families, and business entities, and he has appeared as an adept witness in complex fiduciary and tax litigation matters. He earned his Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and subsequently received his Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law. 

Mr. Dugoni was admitted to The State Bar of California in 1997 and has maintained an uninterrupted license ever since. Prior to establishing Dugoni & Lee, APC, he served as a senior shareholder for nearly three decades at a prominent estate planning firm in Burlingame, California, where he refined his skills in tax-efficient wealth transfer and asset preservation.

Before entering the legal profession, Mr. Dugoni practiced as a tax consultant at a premier global professional services network, from 1991 to 1994, advising affluent individuals and corporations on federal and state tax compliance and planning. He continues to be a sought-after lecturer, presenting on subjects that include advanced estate and gift taxation, trust administration techniques, income tax considerations for estates and robust asset protection frameworks. 

Mr. Dugoni’s commitment to service extends beyond his clients. He has held leadership positions such as chairman of the Board of Regents for Junípero Serra High School and has contributed to numerous charitable organizations, including AbilityPath (formerly Community Gatepath), Samaritan House and St. Vincent de Paul of San Mateo County.
