Francisco J. Rodriguez

Attorney Francisco Rodriguez has been practicing law for the past 21 years. He started his career working at the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office where he assisted several Attorneys with trial work and preparation. After leaving the Public Defender’s Office Attorney Rodriguez understood that he needed to be able to navigate cases through the appeal process and begin to intern at the First District Appellate Project. Here he learned how to properly capture the attention of the reader in a brief. After leaving the First District Appellate Project he was hired by the State Public Defender’s Office where he worked on several death penalty cases in the appeal process. This experience provided him with the understanding of what it’s like for someone to be sentenced to death and their struggle. After leaving the State Public Defender’s Office, Attorney Rodriguez was hired by the Alameda County Public Defender’s Office where he again focused his skills on helping citizens who face criminal charges and how to prepare a case for trial.

Once Attorney Rodriguez graduated from Law School, he was hired by the Santa Cruz County Public Defender’s Office where he handled hundreds of criminal cases and was responsible for numerous trial victories. After leaving the Santa Cruz Public Defender’s Office Attorney Rodriguez opened up his own private practice where he remains today as a Senior Partner at Katsuranis & Rodriguez.

Attorney Rodriguez is well known in the community for his ability to communicate his points and for being a zealous advocate for his clients. He has also built a reputation of being a “Trial Warrior” among his peers and the District Attorney’s Offices across the northern part of the State of California. He is well known for winning cases that are often unwinnable and is often referred to clients by other Attorneys to handle such cases.
