Mary L. Symons

For over 30 years, Mary L. Symons has been a staunch advocate for her clients, standing steadfast through their complex legal challenges pertaining to estate planning and administration, and trust administration. At the Law Offices of Mary L. Symons in San Rafael, California, she serves clients throughout the surrounding region with enthusiastic zeal and a drive to protect their legacies for their loved ones.

Ms. Symons completed her undergraduate studies with honors in 1986, graduating with her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley. She then went on to attend the University of California, San Francisco, College of Law and received her Juris Doctor cum laude in 1990. After obtaining her license to practice law in California the same year she graduated from law school, she enrolled in the New York University School of Law and earned her Master of Laws degree in taxation in 1994. She later became admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court.

A pillar of leadership within her legal community, Ms. Symons maintains close affiliations with myriad legal organizations in an effort to progress the standard of client care within her industry to greater heights. She is a member of the Marin County Bar Association (Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Section), the Marin County Estate Planning Council, The State Bar of California and the Barristers Club of The Bar Association of San Francisco (Probate and Trust Committee). She is certified in estate planning, trust and probate law by The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization, and for her many contributions, holds an AV Preeminent* peer-review rating through Martindale-Hubbell, the organization’s highest rating.
