Early in her career, she helped present expert testimony supporting a $500 million restitution model in a 50-day coordinated trial. Before pursuing legal studies, Ms. Welling completed her bachelor’s degree in political science at the University of California San Diego and her master’s degree in public policy from the University of California Berkeley. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of California College of the Law San Francisco. While at law school, she received the American Jurisprudence Award for moot court and trial advocacy. In 2000, she was admitted to The State Bar of California.
