Joseph A. Shuff, III

A veteran attorney of nearly 50 years, Joseph A. Shuff III has been a pillar of leadership within his legal community, employing his vast practical knowledge in the field of family law to help clients overcome difficult personal challenges and move on to a better and brighter future. The managing partner of Shuff Law Firm in Santa Ana, California, he serves residents throughout Orange County in emotionally taxing issues such as divorce, child custody and support, property division, spousal support, premarital agreements, paternity actions and domestic relations orders, as well as high-asset cases.

Mr. Shuff understands the stressful situation his clients are in and helps alleviate their legal burdens onto his shoulders, giving them some respite so they can focus on their own personal development. He has been recognized by his peers and many prestigious legal organizations for his eminent advocacy and stalwart efforts in keeping his clients up to date on the legal developments of their legal matters and comfortable throughout the duration of their cases. He is a member of the Top One Percent of the National Association of Distinguished Counsel and is peer-review rated AV Preeminent* through Martindale-Hubbel, the organization’s highest rating. Furthermore, he has also served as a judge pro tem in the Orange County Superior Court.

After graduating with his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1971 from California State University, Mr. Shuff went on to study law at the Pepperdine University School of Law, where he spent his time working on his legal talents and bolstering his strong legal foundation. He received his Juris Doctor in 1974 and, in the same year, obtained his license to practice in California. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Central and Southern Districts of California, the United States Claims Court and the Supreme Court of the United States. Within his legal community, he is a member of The State Bar of California and the Orange County Bar Association.
