Mr. Logue is lead counsel in Kracke v. City of Santa Barbara (2021) which successfully overturned Santa Barbara's 2015 ban of short-term vacation rentals in the Coastal Zone. In 2021, the 2nd District Court of Appeal affirmed the decision certified for publication. The case preserved important individual property rights and revived affordable accommodations. He is also counsel of record in dozens of wrongful death, personal injury and property damage cases filed against Southern California Edison and various public entities stemming from the Thomas Fire and Montecito Mudslides.
Mr. Logue is routinely engaged by high net worth clients with a variety of real estate holdings, from office buildings and apartments to ranches and luxury estates. He has made numerous appearances in front of public agencies for land use issues and has handled dozens of mediations and arbitrations required under the California Association of Realtors contract.
Mr. Logue is engaged by clients in litigation matters ranging from wrongful death and civil extortion to the California Coastal Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. He commonly handles real estate litigation matters, including disputes over easements, purchase agreements, leases, sellers’ misrepresentations, and quieting title. He has acted as counsel for Sotheby’s International Realty and has successfully represented real estate agents in front of the Santa Barbara Association of Realtors’ ethics committee and fee arbitration panel.

- Kracke v. City of Santa Barbara, 63 Cal. App. 5h 1089 (2021), review denied (Aug 11, 2021) - Municipality lacks the authority to unilaterally ban short-term vacation rentals in the coastal zone. Affirmed and certified for publication by the 2nd District Court of Appeal on May 4, 2021. The decision overturned Santa Barbara's controversial 2015 ban of short-term vacation rentals in the Coastal Zone. This landmark victory preserved important individual property rights and revived affordable accommodations. Held: The Court of Appeal affirmed the trial court's grant of plaintiff's petition for a writ of mandate enjoining the City's enforcement of the short-term vacation rentals ban in the coastal zone unless it obtains a coastal development permit or a Local Coastal Program amendment approved by the California Coastal Commission or a waiver of such requirement, 2021
