Together with David Poole, John H. Shaffery founded the law firm of Poole Shaffery in 1998 to provide high-quality legal services to both business and corporate clients.

Mr. Shaffery is a 1991 graduate of Southwestern Law School, and he has dedicated his career to advocating for positive outcomes for his clients. He has over 30 years of trial experience. His extensive litigation experience serves to benefit his clients facing complex legal concerns, and he has argued appellate matters before the California Courts of Appeal. He is also a member of the United States Supreme Court.
A noted and highly respected part of the legal community, John H. Shaffery is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and the Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA). He is also a member of the Themis Advocates Group, which is a national association of prominent trial lawyers. He previously served as chairman of the board for the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce and helped to found the Santa Clarita Valley Economic Development Corporation.
