Focusing exclusively on post-conviction cases and appeals throughout all of California, Orly Ahrony is the founding member at Ahrony Appeals Law Group. She has a reputation for her success for over 10 years in criminal appeals, habeas petitions in both State and Federal Courts, parole hearings, and re-sentencing matters.

Ms. Ahrony successfully overturned a lifer conviction thru a Writ of Habeas Corpus based on illegally obtained evidence.

Not only does Ms. Ahrony practice in State Courts, she is also licensed to practice in the Federal Courts (Central, Eastern, Southern Districts), the Ninth Circuit Court, and the United States Supreme Court. 

Ms. Ahrony has appeared on the KTLA Channel 5 Morning News where she discussed the bail reform act. Ms. Ahrony also serves as a legal commentator for the LawNewz network and provides input on high profile cases. 

On her free time, Ms. Ahrony serves a guest lecturer at the UWLA Law School teaching students about the criminal appellate process.  

In 2008, Ms. Ahrony graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from California State University, Northridge. She then received a Juris Doctor in 2011 from the California Western School of Law.

During her time as an undergraduate, Ms. Ahrony was a volunteer with JusticeCorps, serving low income litigants who were involved in the legal process and needed an advocate to help guide them. Later, she founded a chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International.

While attending law school, Ms. Ahrony served as an intern for the California Innocence Project, aiding the wrongfully convicted. Ms. Ahrony also interned for the National Science Foundation as a law clerk in Washington D.C. These events built the foundation that shaped her successful career today.

Among her accomplishments, Ms. Ahrony was the first attorney in Marin County Superior Court to receive a certification of rehabilitation for a client. She is also well-known for her communication skills, as she ensures clients understand their options and how to best move forward.

Fluent in Hebrew, Farsi, and Spanish, Ms. Ahrony assists people from all walks of life. She is sensitive to the unique circumstances people face as they navigate the justice system. Weighing their needs against the legal remedies available, she is able to construct an argument that targets a favorable outcome.
