Carla Hernandez Castillo

A shareholder at Clement, Fitzpatrick & Kenworthy, based in Santa Rosa, California, Carla Hernandez Castillo is a well-known family law attorney in the state. Admitted to practice in California in 2013, she is also a board-certified specialist in family law by The State Bar of California. Including complex family law litigation in her practice encompassing a broad variety of cases, she is also a skilled mediator who tries to settle disputes outside the courtroom. 

An alumnus of the University of California, Davis, Ms. Castillo obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in sociology with a focus on law and society, in 2007. Later, in 2011, she graduated with her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Empire College School of Law. 

As a first-year student of law, Ms. Castillo interned at the Alameda County Family Law Facilitator’s Office and also clerked for the Honorable Judge Shelly Averill in her final year of college. She was also active in the initiatives of the college’s Self-Help Access Center, which helped her get hands-on experience in the field, providing free legal services to the residents of Sonoma County. 

Ms. Castillo commenced her professional journey in the field of law as a legal assistant at a boutique firm, where she worked for more than a decade climbing the career ladder to that of senior associate attorney. Shifting to Clement, Fitzpatrick & Kenworthy, she applied her acquired knowledge and skills to serve her clients with zeal, helping her establish herself as a knowledgeable and compassionate attorney.

 Engaged in the activities of the legal community in the state, Ms. Castillo holds memberships in the Sonoma County Bar Association, where she also functions as a member of its Executive Committee, Special Events Committee and the Family Law Education Committee.
