Alan I. Schimmel

Alan I. Schimmel is the founder and managing partner of Schimmel & Parks, APLC. Located in Sherman Oaks, California, he provides representation to clients throughout Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara counties as well as other parts of the state in a wide range of matters. Mr. Schimmel is well-known for his representation of insurance policy holders in litigation involving the bad faith denial of their claims. Mr. Schimmel assists owners of expensive homes throughout Los Angeles that have been plagued by construction defects, wild fires and is representing numerous clients affected by the Porter Ranch gas blowout.  His excellent track record in these endeavors has earned him an AV Preeminent* peer-review rating through Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Schimmel is a 1978 recipient of a Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles. He then attended Pepperdine University School of Law and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1981. Admitted to practice in California and Nevada, Mr. Schimmel is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
