The founder of the Shevin Law Group, LLC, Eric D. Shevin divides his practice between criminal defense and cannabis-related business legal matters. Based in Sherman Oaks, California, his client base largely comes from the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area. Admitted to practice in California, Mr. Shevin is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Central, Eastern and Northern Districts of California, as well as before the Supreme Court of the United States. In addition, he has appeared pro hac vice before other state and federal courts across the country.
In his criminal defense practice, Mr. Shevin represents people who have been charged by the state or federal government with having committed misdemeanor or felony offenses. These cases have included driving under the influence, drug possession and distribution, weapons violations, white collar crimes such as fraud and embezzlement, tax evasion, and violent crimes. Mr. Shevin has been able to obtain favorable results in many instances, such as a dismissal of the charges or the suppression of evidence due to an illegal search and seizure. In other cases, his negotiation of plea agreements has led to a reduction of charges and penalties.
