Shant A. Kotchounian

Shant Kotchounian is a partner in the firm of California Employment Trial Lawyers, A Burgis & Kotchounian Firm, LLP, in Sherman Oaks, California. 

Mr. Kotchounian has experience handling cases involving defamation, discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour violations. Over the course of his career, he has recovered substantial sums on behalf of employees. He is an aggressive advocate and talented litigator, always working to maximize a client’s recovery. In addition to his law practice, he writes and lectures on employment law topics for various publications and organizations.

A graduate of Pepperdine University, where he received a bachelor’s degree, Mr. Kotchounian earned his law degree from Southwestern Law School. He is qualified to appear before all California state courts.

An active participant in professional organizations, Mr. Kotchounian is a member of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the California Employment Lawyers Association and the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles. He enjoys serving his community and is a former board member of the North Los Angeles County Regional Center.
