Laurence R. Goldman

Vigorously representing clients in matters of family law, Laurence R. Goldman is an established attorney working with Sua Law Group in Simi Valley, California. With nearly five decades of experience, he handles cases involving divorce, separation, child custody, marital dissolution, pre- and postnuptial agreements, paternity and restraining orders. Presently, he serves clients with empathy and compassion across Simi Valley and Los Angeles County.

Upon graduating with a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Northridge, Mr. Goldman pursued his law degree at the University of San Fernando Valley College of Law. During his time at law school, he was an active contributor to the University of San Fernando Valley Law Review and Delta Theta Phi Fraternity. Earning early exposure to the workings of the judiciary, he served as a law clerk at the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office and also interned at the Bet Tzedek Legal Services. He graduated from law school with a Juris Doctor in 1977 and in the following year earned admission to The State Bar of California.

As a California Board of Legal Specialization-certified family law specialist, Mr. Goldman has handled numerous cases throughout the years. By actively listening and communicating to act in his client's best interest, he uses an empathic approach to guarantee that his clients receive the best representation and advice. He has also acted as a judge pro tempore in family court, gaining knowledge and understanding the system deeper. He utilizes this experience in his family law practice, helping his clients reach their goals and protect their best interests.

Previously, Mr. Goldman served as the president of the Beverly Hills Bar Association. He also served as a mediator for the Superior Court of Los Angeles County. Additionally, he is a member of the American Bar Association. As a person who believes in giving back to the community, he works as the director of Public Counsel, where he serves clients in pro bono litigation.
