Elizabeth A. Tresp

Elizabeth A. Tresp is the principal attorney at Tresp Law, APC, which is located in Solana Beach, California. She brings a wealth of experience in estate planning, probate and trust litigation, administration, and high-conflict negotiation through alternative dispute resolution. 

Ms. Tresp earned her bachelor’s degree from Middlesex University in London in 1999 and went on to receive both her Juris Doctor and Master of Laws from the University of San Diego School of Law, graduating with top honors in criminal tax fraud and anti-money laundering taxation.

Admitted to practice in California, Wyoming and Montana, Ms. Tresp also practices before the U.S. Tax Court and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California. She holds memberships in the American Bar Association, the San Diego County Bar Association, the Probate Attorneys of San Diego and other respected legal organizations. 

Ms. Tresp is recognized as a dynamic public speaker, frequently featured on podcasts and webinars. Beyond her legal practice, she serves as vice president of the board of directors for North Coast Repertory Theatre and is deeply committed to arts and environmental causes. She co-founded two nonprofits: the Tresp Family Arts Foundation, which supports community arts events, and the Tresp Conservation Trust, dedicated to wildlife preservation and environmental education.

Throughout her career, Ms. Tresp has supported underserved communities through pro bono tax assistance and mentorship programs for youth. She is also actively involved in her children's education and local youth sports, volunteering with the Solana Beach Schools Foundation and sponsoring local leagues.

Ms. Tresp has earned national recognition, including the SBA’s Women’s Business Enterprise. She was also named to the 2021 Women of Influence in Law list by the San Diego Business Journal.
