Jody C. Moore

Jody C. Moore is a partner at Moore Hutchins Moore, LLP, located in Thousand Oaks, California. Her practice focuses on protecting the rights and interests of individuals and families in complex matters involving elder law, abuse and neglect, medical negligence, and wrongful death. She represents clients in cases involving nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals, home health providers, hospice services and private caregivers.

With a practice centered on advocating for vulnerable individuals, Ms. Moore handles matters involving elder abuse and neglect across a range of care settings. Her experience includes cases concerning nursing home abuse and neglect, assisted living abuse and neglect, hospital abuse and neglect, and abuse or neglect involving home health, hospice and private caregiving services. She also represents clients in medical malpractice and wrongful death matters, helping families pursue accountability when serious harm or loss occurs.

Ms. Moore earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pepperdine University in 1994. She went on to attend Seattle University School of Law, where she received her Juris Doctor in 1997. She was admitted to practice law in California in the same year. Her professional and community involvement includes membership in the Ventura County Bar Association. 

Ms. Moore has also received recognition for her work in the legal profession, including the William F. Taylor Memorial Award from the California Advocates for Nursing Home Reform. She has been recognized as Trial Lawyer of the Year in San Francisco and Ventura County by the American Association for Justice.

In addition to her legal and professional activities, Ms. Moore is involved with Sisterhood of the 8, where she serves as education chair. She has also received the Women Lawyers of Ventura County Legacy Award.
