Melissa Emerson

A stalwart advocate for her clients, Melissa Emerson works relentlessly to get them the compensation they deserve for the injuries they have sustained due to no fault of their own. At Westlake Injury Law in Thousand Oaks, California, she is well-equipped to handle personal injury matters regarding motor vehicle collisions, truck accidents, premises liability and wrongful death, as well as civil rights. Within her legal community, she remains actively involved in many prominent legal organizations, including the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, the Ventura County Trial Lawyers Association and the Ventura County Bar Association, among others. 

Ms. Emerson completed her undergraduate studies in 2016, graduating summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from California State University, Northridge. She went on to attend The Colleges of Law, where she strengthened her legal acumen and foundations that benefit her clients today. She received her Juris Doctor in 2021, and the next year, she obtained her license to practice law across all California state courts. Later on, she was admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

Prior to attending law school, Ms. Emerson worked as a 911 dispatcher for the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, where navigating high-pressure situations and dangerous scenarios through sheer communication was commonplace. She understands the work that goes into getting individuals out of these situations, and she now uses this experience to help give back the normalcy her clients deserve through the judicial system. During her time in law school, she clerked for Westlake Injury Law, giving her a glimpse of the affirming work that is conducted on a daily basis to improve people’s lives for the better, and presently, she upholds the same standards in her practice – in every case she takes on.
