Please be advised that Mr. Rodney W. Wickers has retired from the active practice of law after an extraordinary legal career spanning more than five decades. He will be deeply missed in our office and by the many clients, colleagues, and members of the judiciary with whom he worked throughout the years.
Mr. Wickers opened the Law Office of Rodney W. Wickers in 1992 in Torrance, California, and served as the founding partner of what is now Wickers, Wickers and Admans, LLP, proudly representing clients throughout the South Bay, Los Angeles County, Riverside County and Orange County communities. Over the course of his career, he handled more than 600 cases, including complex business litigation trials, evidentiary hearings in conservatorships, and highly contested estate matters. He was recognized on the 2025 Super Lawyers Southern California list for Trust and Estates Litigation for the fourth consecutive year.
Mr. Wickers began his legal career as a Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force, where he refined his trial advocacy skills while serving as Trial Counsel, Defense Counsel, and Aerospace Contract Negotiator. His military service included receiving a Certificate of Designation as Judge Advocate from the Department of the Air Force and completing the Air Command, Staff College and Air War College program in 1984.
Mr. Wickers was initiated as a member of the Omicron Delta Epsilon, Economic Honor Society in recognition of his high scholastic achievement in Economics in October of 1972. Thereafter, earning a Bachelor of Science from the United States Air Force Academy (1973), a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (now known as University California of Law, San Francisco) (1976), where he served as Managing Editor of the Hastings Law News, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Utah (1979). He was also initiated into Phi Delta Phi International Legal Fraternity in 1974 in recognition of his academic distinction.
Beyond his private practice, Mr. Wickers devoted substantial time to service as a Judge Pro Tempore of the Los Angeles Superior Court, Mediator and Arbitrator for the Los Angeles Superior Court, Probate Volunteer Panel Attorney, and long-standing member of the South Bay Bar Association and Los Angeles County Bar Association. His dedication to public service and pro bono efforts reflects the professionalism and integrity that defined his career.
He will be enjoying his retirement and spending time with his wife of over fifty years, his two adult daughters, one of which is the managing partner of this firm Christina M. Wickers Herman, and his grandsons.
