Matthew A. Zavala

Attorney Matthew A. Zavala owns and operates the Ventura, California, law firm of Zavala Law, PC. He represents clients throughout the greater Los Angeles area in personal injury matters and general civil litigation cases that involve motor vehicle accidents, slip-and-fall accidents, premises liability and wrongful death. He has been licensed to practice throughout California since 2009.

In his decade-long career working for insurance companies and large corporations, Mr. Zavala understands how insurers and large corporations manipulate accident victims to avoid paying full compensation. Highly accessible and honest, he involves his clients in the decision-making process at every step and leaves no stone unturned in his quest for justice. His knack for delivering excellent service in a relaxing atmosphere, eases his clients through an exhausting and draining legal process.

Mr. Zavala obtained his B.A. in English and political science from the San Diego State University in 2006, where he was part of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He then completed his Doctor of Jurisprudence at the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2009. Following several years of practicing law at various law firms in California, he began his own practice in 2018. He has served as a part-time adjunct professor at The Santa Barbara & Ventura Colleges of Law.

Actively engaged in the legal community, Mr. Zavala is a part of organizations such as the Ventura County Bar Association, the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles and the Consumer Attorneys of California. He has received a “Good” rating on Avvo, an online directory of lawyers. On top of his other community service activities, he has served as a volunteer judge for the Ventura County Office of Education’s annual mock trial.
