Christopher T. Erickson

Acquiring the license to practice in California in 2011, Christopher T. Erickson is presently a partner at Whiting, Ross, Abel & Campbell, LLP. He is admitted to practice in all the federal courts in California and extends his practice to the people throughout California. He is efficient in finding feasible strategies to resolve family law issues, taking into consideration the time and resources that are generally consumed in long-drawn litigation processes.  

Focused on family law ever since getting admitted to the California Bar, Mr. Erickson has already dedicated more than a decade exclusively to this field of practice. He is empathetic by nature and has translated this into his work by taking the time to get to know his clients’ predicament in detail and making sure that they are kept informed at each step of the litigation. His experience in mediation and negotiation benefits his clients by helping them settle cases outside of court, saving them the pressure of going through a court trial.

As a board-certified specialist in family law by the California Board of Legal Specialization, Mr. Erickson handles high-conflict cases pertaining to child custody and support while functioning as a court-appointed attorney. He is a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts and is on the board of directors of the Alameda County Family Law Association. Apart from this, he has held positions at the Alameda County Bar Association’s and Contra Costa County Bar Association’s Family Law Sections.  

Mr. Erickson is a 2000 bachelor’s degree graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder, where he majored in English. In 2006, he completed his master’s degree in education from Mills College School of Education. Attending the Golden Gate University School of Law, he obtained his doctorate in jurisprudence in 2011.

Years of serving as a teacher in schools in the area before pursuing law have helped Mr. Erickson reiterate his social conscience. Apart from his practice, he makes it a point to contribute to his community through pro bono work. He was recognized for his dedication to society by the family law benches of both the counties–Alameda and Contra Costa. He is rated “Very Good” on Avvo.
