Nathan D. Pastor is the owner of the five-year-old firm, Pastor Law Group, PC, located in Walnut Creek, California, and is a board-certified specialist in estate planning by The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. With almost a decade of experience in the legal arena, he takes on complex cases involving estate law and probate administration, especially in the counties of Contra Costa, Alameda, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Solano and San Mateo, across California.
Assisting clients right from the start of the prelitigation process, Mr. Pastor stands with them throughout the steps of planning, discovery, trial, appeal and settlement. A member of the Contra Costa County Bar Association’s Criminal Conflict Program, he is often court-appointed as a counsel for proposed conservatees.
Fighting cases before major courts, including the Supreme Court of California, Mr. Pastor has earned the limelight winning a prominent appeal involving a trust contest that attracted a lot of media attention. Along his career journey, he has served as an editor for the University of California’s Continuing Education of the Bar for several of its chapters such as the Healthcare Decision Planning, Bypass and Disclaimer Trusts, Marital Deduction Formulas and Funding, Survivor’s Trusts, and Drafting Revocable Trusts.
An active member of the legal community, Mr. Pastor holds memberships in prominent associations such as the East Bay Trusts and Estates Lawyers and The Robert G. McGrath American Inn of Court.
Mr. Pastor completed his bachelor’s degree as a political science major with a minor in English from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2011. Securing his law degree from the Golden Gate University School of Law, he pursued law further in his postgraduation. From the same law college, he secured his master’s degree in law (2016) with a focus on probate, trusts and estate planning.
