Mr. Bowles received his Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of California Berkeley in 1966. He then pursued his legal studies at the University of California Hastings College of the Law, and was awarded his Juris Doctor cum laude in 1969. While in law school, Mr. Bowles was an editor on the Hastings Law Journal. He began his legal career as an insurance defense trial lawyer, quickly gaining courtroom experience and later expanding his practice to construction and other types of real estate litigation. Mr. Bowles founded his current firm in 1985, and to date he has tried more than 150 cases, many of which have resulted in substantial settlements and jury awards on behalf of his clients.
