Additionally, he reportedly achieved the most substantial judgment ever recorded in Burbank Superior Court at the time and purportedly secured the second-largest victory in United States history in a case involving First Amendment retaliation against the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Mr. Gage attained his Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, California, in 1981. He then obtained his J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1984.

Having been bestowed an "Excellent" rating on Avvo, Mr. Gage has been acknowledged in "Who's Who in North America". His exceptional work in sexual orientation discrimination led him to receive nominations as one of the top U.S. Lawyers by the Elite Lawyers Organization.
