Christopher L. Madeksho

Christopher L. Madeksho is a nationally recognized trial attorney dedicated to fighting for victims of asbestos and toxic exposure. Chris is a tireless and experienced advocate for men and women suffering from mesothelioma, lung cancer, and asbestosis, as well as other types of cancers, including esophageal, laryngeal, and ovarian cancer. Experienced Trial Lawyer

After earning a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas and graduating from American University Washington College of Law, Chris joined Madeksho Law, a firm his father founded in 1972. Now serving as managing partner of the firm’s Los Angeles office, he continues to fight for clients across the United States. In 2017, Chris graduated from the nationally renowned Trial Lawyers College, where he now serves on the faculty, teaching critical litigation skills to the next generation of trial lawyers. He is a recognized expert on benzene and benzene exposure, serving as the co-chairman of the Benzene Litigation Group within the American Association for Justice.

Chris is licensed to practice law in six states: California, Texas, Oregon, Missouri, Pennsylvania, and Washington, and he has received the Super Lawyer designation every year since 2022.

In June 2025, Chris secured a $7.77 million compensatory and $6.6 million punitive damages verdict for the family of a Navy veteran who died from mesothelioma caused by asbestos exposure. The jury’s decision honored the veteran’s service and sent a strong message about accountability for those responsible for exposing workers to toxic substances.

Earlier, in October 2024, Chris helped win a $3.8 million verdict in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, for Harry and Rae Chirdon against Foster Wheeler Corporation. The jury found the company fully liable for Mr. Chirdon’s mesothelioma, awarding $2.3 million in compensatory damages and $1.5 million in punitive damages. The case highlighted the importance of corporate responsibility and workplace safety.

Since its founding in 1972, Madeksho Law has secured over $400 million in compensation for its clients and achieved settlements against more than 100 companies. Committed to the Community

Along with his nationally recognized work as a trial lawyer, Chris is passionate about helping his community by serving as a pro bono attorney for low-income families facing eviction in and around Los Angeles. During the largest rent strike in Los Angeles County history, he represented low-income tenants as their trial counsel and adviser.

Additionally, the Madeksho family founded ADORE Houston, a nonprofit animal welfare organization that provides rescue and adoption services, veterinary care, and foster care. The organization often assists dog owners in need, allowing pet lovers to keep their pets while recovering from illness or financial stress.
