DezaRae LaCrue

As an associate attorney with the Colorado law firm of Franklin D. Azar & Associates, Dezarae Lacrue focuses her practice primarily on complex medical malpractice and personal injury claims and class actions, and she serves a diverse range of clients in state and federal courts throughout Colorado.

During the course of her nearly 10 years practicing law, Ms. Lacrue has achieved notable success advocating on behalf of those who suffered injuries or losses as the result of someone else's negligence, and to date, she has helped recover millions of dollars in settlements and awards for her plaintiff clients.

A native of Colorado, Ms. Lacrue earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Denver in 2004. She then returned to her alma mater and obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2008. The Colorado Bar Association admitted her to practice the following year, and she is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit.

Ms. Lacrue worked as a paralegal full time while she attended law school, and upon receiving her license to practice, she joined that same firm, where she honed her trial skills in high-stakes litigation involving a host of complicated medical malpractice claims. She then joined Franklin D. Azar & Associates in 2015 and has led a successful trial practice since.

Highly active in her legal community, Ms. Lacrue is a member of the American Association for Justice and the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, among her other professional affiliations. Recognized for her impeccable professionalism and exceptional legal abilities, she earned designation from the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys as one of the country's Top 10 Under 40 in 2017 and for being among the nation's Top 100 by America's Top 100 High Stakes Litigators.
