Lauren Shepherd

Family law attorney Lauren Shepherd is a partner at the law firm of Dolan + Zimmerman LLP in Boulder, Colorado, serving clients in the surrounding areas and Denver, Colorado. Her practice is focused on divorce and separation, domestic violence, and child custody and support issues.

Graduating magna cum laude with a bachelor’s from the University of Colorado Boulder, majoring in English literature with a minor in philosophy, Ms. Shepherd attended the University of Colorado Law School to pursue her legal studies. While there, she was a dean’s list student and editor-in-chief of the Journal on Telecommunications and High Technology Law. She was also placed among the top four teams in the Carrigan Cup Mock Trial Competition.

After graduation, Ms. Shepherd clerked for the Honorable Judge Andrew McDonald in Colorado’s 20th judicial district in Boulder. Prior to joining her current firm, Dolan + Zimmerman LLP, she worked for the Family Violence Unit of the Denver District Attorney’s Office. She also served in the criminal division of the United States Attorneys Office and gained extensive experience and hands-on knowledge of Colorado’s criminal and civil judicial systems.
