Aaron W. Barrick

Aaron W. Barrick is a multifaceted legal professional who holds multiple key roles at Folkestad Fazekas Barrick & Patoile, P.C. As the owner, managing director and senior litigator at the firm, his practice spans diverse niches. He handles cases involving contract and business disputes, and offers expertise in land-use and real estate law, and probate administration matters as well.

A seasoned attorney with more than two and a half decades of experience, Mr. Barrick’s legal career is defined by numerous bench and jury trials, hearings, appeals, mediation and arbitration. When it comes to business litigation, he is well-versed in disputes of all kinds, including shareholder agreement disputes, valuations, dissolutions and mismanagement claims.

Mr. Barrick, a former Special Assistant U.S. Attorney, retired in 2012 following two decades of dedicated military service in the United States Air Force and Colorado National Guard. In his role, he oversaw all the legal personnel within the state militia while also bearing responsibility for addressing a wide array of legal issues at the state and federal levels.

With a license to practice law in Colorado since 1997, Mr. Barrick extends his service beyond the state borders and assists clients in the neighboring states of Iowa and Nebraska. Throughout the years, he has consistently demonstrated his legal prowess, earning a reputation for delivering high-quality legal representation to his clients. Mr. Barrick pursued his Bachelor of Arts degree at the Central College in Iowa and graduated in 1987, and later obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
