Michael Hupf

Michael Paul Hupf is a seasoned trial lawyer at Folkestad Fazekas Barrick Patoile & James, P.C., in Castle Rock, Colorado. With a practice spanning business law, real estate and construction litigation, military law, probate and property disputes, he brings a wealth of courtroom experience to every matter he undertakes.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Hupf has litigated complex construction-defect claims, title controversies, premises liability actions, personal injury and medical-malpractice suits, and breaches of contract. Admitted to practice in state and federal courts across Colorado, Texas and Nebraska, he has successfully prosecuted and defended jury and bench trials in both Texas and Colorado.

At the heart of Mr. Hupf’s approach is a deep commitment to understanding each client’s objectives. He believes that clear communication and a collaboratively designed strategy are essential – whether the goal is a swift, cost-effective resolution or an exhaustive, evidence-driven investigation. Before joining the firm in Colorado, he practiced civil litigation in the Dallas–Fort Worth area for five years, honing his skills in complex dispute resolution.

A native of Nebraska, Mr. Hupf earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Nebraska at Omaha – where he lettered in tennis and captained the team during his junior and senior seasons – before receiving his law degree from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

In his community, Mr. Hupf remains actively engaged as a coach for the Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Program and as a member of a USTA 4.5 Castle Rock tennis team. He also holds memberships in the Colorado Bar Association, the Nebraska State Bar Association and the Texas Association of Defense Counsel.
