Michael P. Kane

A shareholder at Kane Trial Law, Michael P. Kane is a personal injury attorney serving clients across Colorado. Well-known for battling insurance companies, giant organizations and careless drivers around Colorado, he effectively advocates for victims of automobile accidents, truck collisions, sexual assault, dangerous premises and defective products.

After graduating with his bachelor’s degree in communications from Arizona State University in 2000, Mr. Kane earned his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law in 2003, and that same year, he was issued his Colorado legal license. A former U.S. Marine who served on a tour in Operation Iraqi Freedom, he returned to Colorado and worked as deputy district attorney in both Arapahoe and Douglas County District Attorneys’ offices after exiting the armed forces. After that, he stepped into civil practice and has focused exclusively on representing injured plaintiffs.

A passionate and client-oriented professional, Mr. Kane has secured millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements in favor of his clients. Some of his notable achievements include a jury verdict of $6 million against a commercial bus company, an $8 million contested liability trucking case settlement and a $5 million settlement on behalf of a young woman sexually assaulted by her elementary school teacher. In 2023, he secured a $900,000+ verdict against Home Depot on behalf of his client, who was seriously injured in one of their stores.

A recipient of several awards, Mr. Kane has been recognized by Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers in America and was named to the list of The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 trial attorneys. Moreover, he holds a “Superb” rating on Avvo. He was also recently selected for admission to the American Board of Trial Advocates, a peer-selected organization composed of plaintiff attorneys, defense attorneys and judges.
