David McDivitt

A trial lawyer and the Chief Executive Officer of McDivitt Law Firm, David McDivitt represents plaintiffs in personal injury, workers' comp, and mass tort cases.  Mr. McDivitt is a multi-year SuperLawyers honoree and, prior to turning 40, was a perennial SuperLawyer Rising Star.  A member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, he has been a muti-year recipient of the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers, Top 100 Mass Tort Lawyers, and Top 40 under 40. 

Mr. McDivitt is admitted to practice in the State of Colorado, the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, and the United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit. He is a member of the El Paso County Bar Association, the Denver Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association, and the American Association for Justice.

As a long-standing member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, he served for almost ten years on their Board of Directors, and was also a multi-year member of their Executive Committee and Co-Chair of their Eagle Committee.  Mr. McDivitt has provided expert testimony before both the Colorado State Senate and House Judiciary Committees, and has been a featured speaker at conferences across the United States.  Prior to entering civil law, Mr. McDivitt spent several years as a Deputy Public Defender in the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender.

Mr. McDivitt graduated magna cum laude from the University of Colorado Boulder with a Bachelor of Arts, and also studied at University of Paris (Sorbonne) and at Washington and Lee University.  He subsequently earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Colorado School of Law, where he was an Editor for the University of Colorado Law Review.
