Andres R. Guevara

Andres R. Guevara is a criminal defense attorney in Denver, Colorado. The founder of the Law Office of Andres R. Guevara, he represents clients in the Denver metropolitan area and throughout Colorado. 

Mr. Guevara has over 20 years of experience and has fought for the rights of Colorado residents who have been accused of drug crimes, DUI, federal crimes, probation violation, robbery, sex crimes, theft and more. He is talented at courtroom argument and negotiation, always fighting to protect the futures of his clients.

As an active member of the Colorado legal community, Mr. Guevara participates in several professional organizations. He belongs to the Denver Bar Association, the Arapahoe County Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association, the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar and the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association. Additionally, he is a contributing author of the Colorado edition of the book “Medicolegal Aspects of Marijuana.”

Mr. Guevara graduated from the University of Michigan and went on to earn his law degree from The George Washington University Law School. While attending law school, he served as president of the Hispanic Law Students Association and as notes editor for the school’s law review.

Upon becoming a licensed attorney, Mr. Guevara practiced law as an assistant district attorney at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office in New York. This role provided him with major trial experience and an understanding of the techniques and strategies used by prosecutors when seeking to secure a criminal conviction. This background gives him a distinct advantage when defending clients against criminal charges.
