Anne McMichael

Anne McMichael is a partner at Coombe, Curry, Rich, Jarvis, in Denver, Colorado, where she counsels individuals, families and fiduciaries on probates, wills, trusts, estate planning, elder law, guardianships and conservatorships across the Denver metropolitan area and throughout Colorado.

A graduate of the University of Denver Sturm College of Law (J.D., 2009) and Colorado State University (B.A. in Sociology with a Criminal Justice emphasis, 2004), Ms. McMichael brings both academic grounding and practical judgment to complex matters involving capacity, asset protection and postmortem administration.

Ms. McMichael was first admitted to the Colorado Bar Association in 2009 and was elevated to partner at Coombe, Curry, Rich, Jarvis in 2021. She approaches each matter with a focus on clear communication and achievable solutions, helping clients navigate delicate family dynamics, court procedures, and statutory requirements. Her practice blends transactional planning – drafting wills, trusts and powers of attorney – with advocacy in contested guardianship and probate proceedings, always prioritizing clients’ goals and long-term well-being.

Among the matters that illustrate Ms. McMichael’s litigation experience is Sopris Lodging, LLC v. Scofield Excavation, Inc., et al., 2016 WL 122816 (Colo. App. 2016), which appears on her list of representative cases. She also contributes to the profession through teaching and training. She has participated in programs such as the Colorado Defense Trial Lawyers Trial Academy and remains active with the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association, bringing courtroom readiness to matters that require courtroom presence.

Outside casework, Ms. McMichael is involved in several legal organizations and community efforts.
