Banafsheh Lari

Banafsheh Lari is an associate attorney with Ciancio Ciancio Brown, P.C., based in Denver, Colorado, where she is a valued member of the family law team. Her practice areas include family law, divorce, child support and various other family-related legal issues. She was admitted to the Colorado Bar Association in 2015.

Ms. Lari holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science and international affairs with an emphasis on the Middle East, which she obtained from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2012. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2015, where she was a recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship.

Initiating her legal career as a law clerk in the Adams County District Court, primarily for the Honorable Jaclyn Brown, Ms. Lari contributed to both the domestic and civil dockets, authoring numerous orders across various cases, including dissolutions of marriage, allocation of parental responsibilities and post-decree modifications. Her law school tenure was marked by active involvement, where she was a member of the moot court board, chaired the Dean’s Excellence Committee, and was elected as a representative to the Student Bar Association.

During her studies, Ms. Lari interned for the Honorable Christopher Cross in the Arapahoe County District Court and worked at a leading private family law firm in Denver. Additionally, she served as a fellow for the Honorable David Goldberg in the Denver County District Court, focusing exclusively on family law matters. 

Ms. Lari has dedicated five years to volunteering as a coach for students in the Colorado Bar Association High School Mock Trial program. She has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America in their 2025 Edition for Family Law and Family Law Mediation. Her professional memberships include the Colorado Bar Association, Denver Bar Association and the Adams Broomfield Bar Association, among others. She is also fluent in Farsi, adding a unique perspective to her professional and personal interactions.
