Clifford E. Eley

The founder of Eley Law Firm, Clifford E. Eley, has dedicated over four decades to advocating for workers who have sustained injuries on the job or have been affected by occupational diseases. Throughout his distinguished career, he has represented many clients across Denver and the broader Colorado region, focusing exclusively on workers' compensation claims and litigation.  

A graduate of Brigham Young University (BYU), Mr. Eley achieved his undergraduate degree with honors in 1980. Later, in 1983, he secured his J.D. from BYU J. Reuben Clark Law School, Provo, Utah. During his law studies, he actively contributed to the Law Review. That same year, he was licensed to practice law in Colorado and admitted before the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and the U.S. Federal Court.

Beyond his legal acumen, Mr. Eley is a co-founder of the Workers' Compensation Education Association, the leading group for claimants' lawyers in Colorado. He is also affiliated with the Colorado Bar Association (CBA) and has served as the past chairman of its Workers' Compensation Section.

With a strong record and active participation in professional circles, Mr. Eley is recognized for his deep understanding of workers' compensation law. His accomplishments in the field have been recognized with several honors, such as being named 2018's Top Lawyer by Denver's Mile High Magazine. He has earned an AV Preeminent* peer-review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and boasts a "Superb" score on Avvo. Additionally, he is a recipient of the Lance Butler Award from the CBA.
