- We represented two individuals who were devastatingly shot by the Northglenn Police Department. We were able to obtain an $8,750,000.00 settlement for them and as a result, Northglenn worked to revise their policies, procedures, and training. We are hopeful that by holding Northglenn responsible for this tragedy, they are incentivized to be more careful so future lives can be saved, 2019
- I was co-counsel on a case in Federal Court where we had 35 Plaintiffs who were claiming injuries and civil rights violations by the Denver Police while they were peacefully protesting in the wake of the murder of George Floyd. We were weeks from trial when the case ultimately settled for over $1.4 million. , 2023
- During the summer of 2020, one of our clients was shot in the eye with a pepper ball by Denver Police. He ultimately lost the eye. We helped him obtain a settlement of $2.3 million. , 2023
- I settled a client's UIM claim for policy limits after obtaining liability policy limits. The defendant had a $100k policy. With $12,000 in medical and an opinion that surgery was necessary, I collected $100k for my client. After surgery, my client's bills were $55k and he was discharged from care. He did not receive additional care for the following year. I made a demand on the UIM carrier. They claimed he had been made whole. I filed the lawsuit but held off on serving it, at the UIM carrier's request, to discuss possible resolutions. After many discussions, the UIM carrier finally offered their entire $100k policy. , 2023
- I settled a claim for two clients in an SUV who were injured when a sedan drove over their SUV on I-25. Allstate refused to offer more than $24,000. I litigated and 1-month before trial, the defendant settled for over $320,000.00, 2023
- I represented a couple in their claim against their underinsured motorist carrier, for their injuries in a car crash. Their insurance company started off refusing to pay anything on the claims, contending that they had been fully compensated by the liability policy. It took a great deal of work and 4 rounds of mediation (to send their insurance carrier back for more authority), but the case ultimately settled well into the six figures. This was an exceptionally difficult case, involving a deceased defendant, cancer and cancer treatments, and challenging personalities. It was a wonderful result for these clients. , 2023
- I represented a woman who was injured when she was rear-ended. Sadly she suffers from traumatic migraines and will continue to suffer from them as they have no cure. All her doctors can do is try to manage the daily pain. I made claims against the at-fault driver, her own UIM, and the UIM on the car as it was a work vehicle. It was a long drawn-out battle but ultimately every insurance company settled and she was able to collect over $750,000 in total. , 2022
- I represented a woman who was rear-ended. The crash caused her migraines. She got pregnant shortly after the crash and because of the pregnancy, she was unable to take the meds or do some of the therapies that had been helping her. When her child was born she had difficulty carrying them. The insurance would not even offer her $50,000.00 until I litigated the case. Ultimately they settled for six figures. Her UIM claim is pending. , 2022
- I represented a woman who was Tboned by a driver who ran a red light. The passenger in the at-fault car sued the driver and the driver blamed my client. I made claims against the at-fault driver for my client's injuries. There was not enough insurance for all the injuries caused. The other plaintiff and the defense ganged up on me claiming that the passenger should get the bulk of the insurance and my client should get peanuts. In the end, I was able to obtain a six-figure settlement for my client plus obtain her full UM/UIM policy as well. , 2022
- I was brought on as co-counsel for a terrible car crash case in Los Angels California. My client was the only survivor and suffered catastrophic injuries that will impact her for the rest of her life. After obtaining the liability policy's limits she made a claim against her own underinsured motorist policy she had with State Farm. I was brought in to force State Farm to come to the table with more than nuisance value. In the end, the client was able to obtain a high six-figure settlement (the remainder of her policy) to help her manage and cope with her injuries in the future. , 2022
- I represented a material supplier who provided materials on credit but the contractor never paid for the materials, even though he was fully paid on the job. I sued and was able to settle the case for the full amount owed plus interest and fees. To get it settled we took a unique approach that worked with the contractor with a stipulated judgment in the event of default. I am happy to say the contractor was motivated to keep to the settlement and paid off the balance early. , 2022
- I represented a young man in a UM/UIM case against American Family. He was driving in rural Iowa, at night, on an unlit stretch of I-80 when he came upon a Semi-tire or the tread of a Semi-tire left in the road. He was unable to avoid the tire due to other traffic and the tire's location. When he hit the tire his car rolled multiple times. He fractured 3 vertebrae, his sternum, ribs, and hand, among numerous other soft-tissue injuries. He healed remarkably well and stopped treatment within a year of the crash, but does have some permanent pain and limitations. AmFam claimed there was no UM/UIM coverage because 1. there was no proof that the tire came from a vehicle and 2. my client was at fault for the crash. They offered $60,000.00 to settle but then withdrew the offer. The jury found the tire came from the vehicle and it was 100% the cause of the crash, not my client. They awarded my client roughly $260,000.00 and with interest, AmFam owes him over $380,000.00. I then proceeded against AmFam on the bifurcated bad faith claims. AmFam settled the bad faith claims on the eve of the trial. , 2021
- Represented a client whose arm was viciously attacked by a dog. I was able to obtain a six-figure resolution for my client, 2021
- We represented a family who was t-boned in a car crash and badly injured. We were able to find 2 liability policies that covered the at-fault driver and 2 UM/UIM policies for the plaintiffs. Through diligent work and efforts, we obtained all the available coverage under those policies totaling over $1,000,000.00 for this family
