Founder and Managing Partner of The Rodman Law Group, LLC, Dave Rodman represents clients around the world. His practice areas include cannabis law, business law, industrial hemp, corporate formation, FDA compliance, raising capital and securities law compliance, distributed ledger technology (“DLT”) and cryptocurrency, and intellectual property matters. Some representative clients include small businesses, international investment groups, cannabis businesses, industrial hemp ventures, publicly traded companies, and venture capital firms.
During his time as an attorney, Mr. Rodman has represented clients in Colorado, the Czech Republic, Singapore, Thailand, Canada, New York, New Jersey, Nevada, California, and Washington State. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Rodman worked in the Investment Banking group at Merrill Lynch, and he is one of the only US attorneys who specializes and actively practices in both the DLT/cryptocurrency and cannabis/industrial hemp sectors.
In 2007, Mr. Rodman graduated from Tufts University with a BA in History. After spending time at Merrill Lynch, he attended the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he graduated with his Juris Doctor in 2013. While in law school, he completed the Corporate and Commercial Law Certificate Program. He was also the Article Editor for The Race to the Bottom, was the President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, and served as the Senior Articles Editor for the Sports and Entertainment Law Journal.
Mr. Rodman is currently a member of the Colorado Bar Association and the organization's Intellectual Property Law Section, the Entertainment Law Section, the Cannabis Law Section and the Business Law Section. A member of the National Hemp Association, he is also actively involved with the National Cannabis Bar Association and the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws.
