As a shareholder and co-owner of Ascent Employment Law, based in Denver, Colorado, Emily Hobbs offers legal representation to clients all across the state. She later went on to pursue her legal studies at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she received her Juris Doctor in 2000. The same year she graduated from law school, she was licensed to practice law in Colorado.
A consummate professional, Ms. Hobbs is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit. She is actively involved in the legal community, serving as a former board member of the Faculty of Federal Advocates. She is also a member of the American Bar Association, where she participates in the Employer/Management and Wage and Hour committees.
In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Hobbs provides active counseling to help employers avoid legal issues before they occur. She focuses on risk management and compliance while offering solutions tailored to each organization’s size, industry and workforce needs.
