Emma Fletcher

A partner at the Denver, Colorado, full-service family law firm of Harrington Brewster Mahoney Smits, P.C., Emma Fletcher serves as a legal adviser in matters related to divorce, legal separation, adoptions, wills, living wills, trusts, powers of attorney and guardianships. She was first admitted to The Colorado Bar in 2014.

An attorney trained in collaborative law, Ms. Fletcher has a reputation for devising creative and thoughtful solutions to deep-rooted disputes for her clients outside the courtroom. Her empathy, talent and passion for protecting her clients’ best interests enable her to see through the complexities of the matters with a particular focus on her clients’ goals and concerns while strategically proceeding with the case.

Ms. Fletcher graduated in 2009 from Dartmouth College with her bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, playing Division I field hockey and with active participation in Delta Delta Delta. She received her Juris Doctor in 2014 from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Her prior experience includes working as an associate attorney for a well-established Colorado-based law firm, where she gained invaluable legal knowledge. 

A member of the Family Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association’s Amicus Committee, Ms. Fletcher is also part of the Colorado Women’s Bar Association and the Metro Denver Interdisciplinary Committee. A 2018 winner of the Young Attorney Award from the Douglas-Elbert County Bar Association, she has been rated “Superb” by Avvo. Apart from presenting on various topics at the Family Law Institute and other events, she recently published an article on child support obligations in the Colorado Lawyer.
