Mr. Hobbs has spent his entire career at Shook, Hardy & Bacon L.L.P., one of the top trial firms in the United States for complex civil litigation with a deep bench of over 500 litigation and trial attorneys. Shook is nationally-recognized for its experience defending mass torts, class action, and product liability cases, as well as handling other complex business and intellectual property matters on both sides of the "v." In addition, he regularly appears in other courts throughout the country utilizing the pro hac vice admission process by associating with attorneys in Shook's 18 U.S. offices and other local firms, where necessary. 

Prior to joining Shook, Mr. Hobbs clerked in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Colorado, the Denver District Attorney's Office, and the Missouri Attorney General's Office. He earned his J.D. (2012) from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he graduated in the top 2% of his class and competed on the school’s top-ranked national trial and appellate advocacy teams. He received his B.A. (2009), summa cum laude, from the University of Missouri, where he was a member of the Honors College. He received academic merit scholarships to attend both schools. 

Mr. Hobbs has served on the Board of Directors for JDRF (formerly, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) - Mountain West Chapter. He serves on the Board of Governors for the Colorado Bar Association and is actively involved with the Doyle Inn of Court in Denver. He is an Eagle Scout.

Outside of the office, Mr. Hobbs is an avid skier, hiker, and mountain biker. He and his wife share three kids.
