Skip (Gordon) Netzorg, has served as a mediator and as an arbitrator in a wide variety of major cases where demands have ranged up to $2 billion. He has been a member of AAA’s Commercial Arbitrator Panel since 2004, and has frequently acted as faculty for AAA programs. Skip is also a member of Sherman & Howard’s Trial Practice Group. For years, his practice has focused on complex commercial litigation, but he is now transitioning his practice to ADR, where he has a unique approach to mediations. Skip co-chaired the Civil Access Pilot Project for Colorado (CAPP), and sat on a nationwide task force charged with making recommendations for changes to the civil justice system to create better access to our courts. He is on the federal court pro bono mediator panel. Skip is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, both invitation-only, highly selective honorary organizations for trial lawyers. He is a past president of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. He has been named Best Lawyer’s Litigation-Securities Lawyer of the Year 2019); Banking Lawyer of the Year (2010, 2013); and has been listed 20+ years in Best Lawyers in America for Arbitration and Mediation, as well numerous other trial categories.   • Successfully tried and obtained verdicts, judgments and arbitration awards in wide variety of complex commercial cases including 8-figure awards and 9-figure settlement • Representative matters include the following: Represented major bank in bond litigation on behalf of bank customers, recovering in excess of 100% of customer investments • Defended mountain developers in $500,000,000 claim for fraud resulting in judgment in favor of developers for $0 • Represented developers against major ski area in extinguishing ski area’s rights in 6,000 acres of mountain real estate • Represented major law firm in defense of multimillion dollar claims filed against it – law firm exonerated after 3-day trial • Numerous other cases including shareholder and bondholder suits and class actions, representation of officers and directors in corporate investigations and lawsuits, representation of investors against brokerage firms, representation of various parties in disputed estate matters, oil and gas and mining disputes, disputes among professionals, defense of Resolution Trust Corporation and FDIC investigations and administrative claims on behalf of officers and directors, service as court-appointed discovery and special master; and special litigation committee counsel in derivative litigation
