James E. Brown

James E. Brown is the president of the law firm of James E. Brown & Associates, P.C., in Denver, Colorado. With over 46 years of experience practicing law, he takes on cases involving real estate and business and corporate law, including creditors’ rights, bankruptcy, commercial law, construction law and business acquisitions. 

Mr. Brown is a dedicated and zealous attorney, fighting aggressively for the rights of his clients. He prioritizes his clients’ best interests and provides sound and knowledgeable counsel. He personalizes and customizes approaches and strategies for each client’s unique case. 

With a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University, Mr. Brown obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. While in law school, Mr. Brown was inducted into the Order of St. Ives legal honorary society and was the recipient of several awards and scholarships. 

Mr. Brown is admitted to practice in the state of Colorado, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. He is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and the Denver Bar Association’s Bankruptcy, Business and Real Estate Sections.

Active in the pro bono field, Mr. Brown has offered much of his time representing debtors in bankruptcy courts. For his exceptional work in the legal field, Mr. Brown has been honored by being included in the Who’s Who in America Law list and has an AV preeminent* peer review rating by Martindale-Hubbell. 

Mr. Brown actively participates in the local government and frequently lectures at prominent seminars. He has also guest lectured at his law school. In addition to his law practice, Mr. Brown enjoys music and is a self-trained musician.
