Joshua Fitch

In his career, Joshua Fitch has developed a reputation as a leading business transactional attorney. The managing partner at Troxel Fitch, he provides representation to clients throughout the state of Colorado from the firm’s offices in Denver. Mr. Fitch has been admitted to practice before all Colorado state courts since 2017.

Many of Mr. Fitch’s clients are entrepreneurial businesspeople who have decided to launch a new venture. He works with them from the outset of the process, helping them to determine which form of legal entity is the most suitable to their needs, and he then proceeds with its formation. Thereafter, Mr. Fitch draws up appropriate contracts among the owners, and he also prepares and reviews employment agreements and other contracts. Once the business has been in operation, he provides advice and counsel on the necessary compliance with local, state and federal laws, and he gives input on mergers and acquisitions, copyrights, trademarks, and other forms of intellectual property registration and protection, licensing and day-to-day business matters.

Many businesses need some form of financing from parties other than their owners, and Mr. Fitch helps them find sources of equity and debt infusions. His experience allows him to prepare and review sophisticated and complex agreements, including public and private stock offerings, promissory notes that are convertible into equity ownership, and traditional bank and other commercial loans.

As an undergraduate, Mr. Fitch attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, where he majored in advertising and received a Bachelor of Science in 2013. After graduation, he spent a period of time in sales before enrolling at the University of Colorado School of Law. Mr. Fitch was awarded his Juris Doctor in 2017, and he has been with his firm since that time.
